Plenty more cloud to come, but some sunshine at times…and some rain at times.
No photograph this week…even I didn’t take one, outdoors anyway.
So the general picture to start the week sees high pressure centred over France, and a milder westerly flow.

Plenty of cloud for Monday but some sunshine at times, though more likely of the hazy variety. Reaching around 11’C in a moderate breeze. Some clear spells at first tonight, but cloud thickening later – perhaps some patchy mist/fog by dawn. Down to around 4’C.
Tuesday will again be mostly cloudy, some bright spells, and a chance of a shower at some point during the day. Around 10’C and again quite breezy. Weather fronts will cross during the evening and overnight bringing some bits of rain, but nothing especially much. Windy too and milder, 13’C.
Wednesday starts cloudy, some bits and pieces of light rain. Some hazy sunshine probable for the afternoon. Generally quite windy, if not windy, and mild at 14’C. An area of heavy rain will spread up from the south-west in the evening, timing a little uncertain – the rain potentially very heavy at times. Mild whilst raining, but cooler once it clears – say down to around 6’C.
Colder for Thursday in a more north-westerly flow. Plenty of sunshine though, a bit of cloud around at times – a small chance of a shower but unlikely they get this far inland. Around 6’C and feeling colder in the wind. Reasonably clear skies overnight and a fairly cold night, down to around 1’C – a frost possible, though perhaps too windy still.
Some sunshine for Friday, though cloud tending to increase later in the day. The breeze more westerly but still chilly, around 7’C or so. A band of showers crossing at some point in the evening/overnight – dry either side and around 6’C.
Saturday looks a bit of a mish-mash, some sunshine possible at times but a weak-ish weather front will cross bringing cloud and bits and pieces of rain at some point. Around 10’C and windy.
Sunday has more uncertainty on details, outright wet is unlikely though some bits of rain possible, probably on the cloudier side of the spectrum, though with some sunshine. Windy, around 8’C.
Christmas week looks mild, if not very mild. Often dry though some rain possible at times, uncertain on cloud/sunshine amounts. Good news for those with travel plans, bad news for those who like the romance of a White Christmas.
It’s still far enough away to plausibly change, it’s not scientifically impossible that we instead get a cold spell…but mild and fairly dry looks highly likely.
